Captain Skippers Sizzler X Miss Skippers Lena Little Gus McCrae aka Gus is a flashy, sorrel, registered Quarter Horse yearling with lots of chrome and a solid start. Handled daily, Gus is easy to catch, leads, ties, stands quietly for the farrier, and accepts clipping and bathing without fuss. This calm, gentlemanly colt was raised on a cattle farm and has been turned out with cows, so he’s already comfortable with the sights and sounds of a working operation. His dam, Miss Skippers Lena, spent four years working at the Bluegrass Stockyards and is an excellent all-around using horse. With cow-horse blood on the bottom and racing lines on top, Gus’s pedigree gives him the foundation to go in almost any direction—rope horse, barrel prospect, ranch horse, or versatile all-around using horse. If you’re looking for a prospect, not a project, this is the colt for you.
